Children’s Events

The Problem:
GigMasters is a 2-sided marketplace.  Can we perform re-marketing efforts for those holding regularly recurring children’s events?  Who makes the hiring decisions, and what kind of repetition could we expect?  What are current trends for these event types?

Tactics:
Surveys were crafted and sent to clients recently entering a request for service that included one of five children’s event categories identified as being of interest to gauge likely efficacy of re-marketing and learn about current party themes.

Findings:

  1. 92% of clients making the hiring decisions were the Parent or Guardian of the child the event was for.  Nearly 90% were female, and 72% are between 25-44 years old.
  2. 75% of survey participants anticipated having 1-3 additional events  in the coming year, and more events appear to be held for younger children than older.
  3. Themes identified for marketing efforts: Princess Parties, Disney related themes (Mickey/Minnie mouse, Frozen, etc.), and Super heroes (Batman, etc.)

Results:

  • GigMasters began re-marketing efforts to bring back prior clients using this information to target potential customers, resulting in 64% success in recapturing customer business in tests conducted.
